ADEGA MAYOR

Located close to the vineyards, at Herdade das Argamassas, Adega Mayor is the old dream of “Comendador” Rui Nabeiro which came true through the hands of the Pritzker awarded Portuguese Siza Vieira, a project that intends to place Campo Maior in the international Wine Tourism route, an homage to wine and life architecture.

Eternal youth fruits grow from Campo Maior land.

Adega Mayor has 80 hectares of cultivated vineyards in this region of Alentejo, of which 69 are at Herdade das Argamassas and the remaining 11 at Herdade da Godinha. The grape bunches are hand collected and deposited in 15 kg boxes and quickly taken to the wine cellar.
